NCJS Partnerships

North Coast Job Seekers is committed to working with other organizations and job seeker groups throughout Northeast Ohio.

OUR NEWEST PARTNERSHIP

107.3 Alternative Cleveland Cares

We are excited to announce a new partnership with radio station 107.3 Alternative Cleveland

North Coast Job Seekers was selected by 107.3 ALTERNATIVE CLEVELAND to be a recipient of their annual 107.3 CARES program. In their own words:

Charity is at the heart of what makes a community strong and vibrant. In Cleveland, 107.3 Cares exemplifies this spirit of giving by shining a spotlight on the many amazing charitable organizations and nonprofits doing vital work in our city.

Through segments aired throughout the day, 107.3 Cares shares the stories of these groups and the lives they touch. 107.3 Cares inspires us all to give back and strengthens the fabric of compassion that knits us together. Charity serves as a profound reminder of our shared humanity and the power we have to make positive change.

During the months of August through October, 107.3 will air an NCJS Public Service Announcment at least 10 times a week, "shining a spotlight" on our services and inviting job seekers to join us for our Monday meetings. These "ads" are produced, recorded, and aired at no cost to NCJS.

Additionally, Rubber City Radio Group includes NCJS in their twice yearly Job Fairs as a resource for attendees. See the May 2025 Job Fair here: RCRG Job Fair. In settings such as this, NCJS is also a representative of the many other job seeker groups in NE Ohio.

THANK YOU, RUBBER CITY RADIO GROUP & 107.3 ALTERNATIVE CLEVELAND!

Pioneer Memorial Presbyterian Church, Solon, OH

www.pioneersolon.org

Pioneer Memorial Presbyterian Church has partnered with NCJS from the very beginning – and even before that! The predecessor group, Chagrin Valley Job Seekers (CVJS), was born out of Pioneer Church with members who recognized and responded to the need for a job seeker group in the Chagrin Valley. Pioneer Church was both the meeting host and sponsor of CVJS and were completely supportive of the new organization, North Coast Job Seekers.

Pioneer is an invaluable partner to provide the kind of institutional support that a 100% volunteer organization needs. NCJS is a mission of Pioneer Church. They provide financial, bookkeeping, and umbrella support. Pre-pandemic, the 2nd and 4th Monday meetings were held at the church. Though most of our meetings are now online via Zoom, Pioneer remains "home base" for NCJS. We hope that all of our partnerships are two-way paths. As Pioneer advertises NCJS meetings and programs to its members, it not only benefits NCJS, but it offers a resource for church members, their families, and friends who find themselves in job transition.

The Catholic Church of St. Rita, Solon, OH

St. Rita Parish is a thriving congregation that has partnered with NCJS since our early years. The NCJS Advisory Board was meeting in various places month-to-month – Panera, several library branches, and members' homes. An easier and more consistent location was needed, and St. Rita Parish stepped up and offered a space for our monthly board meetings.

In many ways, that was the start of a partnership that has been vital for NCJS. Members of St. Rita advocated for NCJS to be among recipients of the Parish's generous financial support. That support has helped NCJS immensely. In addition, the church regularly includes North Coast Job Seekers in their Sunday bulletins and newsletters – helping more people know about NCJS and offering a great resource for parishioners experiencing job loss or career transitions. Thanks to St. Rita Parish for their partnership!

Since 2014, PMINEO (Project Management Institute Northeast Ohio) has partnered with North Coast Job Seekers to promote our meetings and services to its membership. Of particular significance to both PMINEO and NCJS are opportunities for networking among professionals who are engaged in job searches and those searching for talented people to hire. In addition to networking, all of North Coast Job Seekers services are available to PMINEO members who themselves are in a job search. Our meetings are not only open to, but are enriched by those PMINEO members seeking job search help.

The 2014 partnership announcement sent to PMINEO members highlighted these benefits to PMINEO members:

  • Access to a larger network, enhancing the opportunities to make connections and find opportunities in fields not normally represented at RPYC meetings.
  • More direct contact with HR professionals to gain the inside track on hiring practices and tips.
  • Increased frequency of meetings and networking opportunities, leading to personal and professional development with a focus on job seeking.
  • Larger group will draw higher quality speakers.
  • Publicity and branding outside the 'traditional circle' of PMINEO members.
  • Additional volunteer opportunities within NCJS.
